Weekend Recap
May 12 – 18, 2026
Mason Zeigler stunned a loaded World of Outlaws field for $20,000 at Bedford Fairgrounds Speedway. Ryan Gustin strung together four top-8 finishes across the WoO Eastern swing, and 147 Late Model features played out across 37 states and three countries.
Mason Zeigler came to Bedford Fairgrounds Speedway Saturday night and walked out with $20,000 — and a statement.
The Billy Winn Classic drew 39 cars to the 1/2-mile Pennsylvania oval, and the World of Outlaws Late Model Series feature was loaded: WoO regulars Bobby Pierce, Nick Hoffman, Tim McCreadie, Tyler Erb, Daulton Wilson, Drake Troutman, Ethan Dotson, and Ryan Gustin all competed. These 8 drivers are also all currently in the top 20 of DLM rankings. Zeigler, ranked 66th, beat every one of them.
Starting second alongside Wilson on the front row, Zeigler passed Wilson for the lead and never looked back. Wilson finished second, Hoffman third, McCreadie fourth, Pierce fifth. Gustin was the hard charger of the race, slicing from 14th to 8th — but by then Zeigler was long gone. It was one of the biggest upsets of the 2026 season against that caliber of competition.
That wasn't Gustin's only strong run. The Marshalltown, Iowa driver racked up four consecutive top-8 finishes across the Outlaws' Eastern swing: second at Georgetown, sixth at Selinsgrove, fifth at Marion Center, and eighth at Bedford. Over those four nights, Gustin gained more positions from his starting spot than any other driver in the field — a relentless charge-forward style that's become his calling card. He's now earned at least $151,471 this season, good for eighth on the money list.

By the Numbers
The week accounted for 147 completed races across 37 states and three countries, up from 111 the previous week. Some races are still pending official results to add to this number. The World of Outlaws' Eastern swing through Delaware, Pennsylvania, and beyond accounted for the four biggest races of the week, with three of them drawing 39 or more cars. The biggest turnout belonged to Marion Center Raceway, where the Outlaws split 47 competitors into two features for the Connor Bobik Memorial. Super Late Models led the way with 39 features, followed closely by Limited Late Models (37) and 604 Crate Late Models (35).
The big $50,000 finale of the High Bank Heist at Eagle Raceway was canceled, along with 14 other events — rain hit Minnesota, Iowa, and parts of the South particularly hard.
Form Watch
Ryan Gustin had one of the best weeks of anyone in the sport. Four races, four top-8 finishes — including a runner-up at Georgetown worth $10,000 — against the Outlaws' strongest fields. Gustin has been one of the hottest drivers over the last 30 days, and this week cemented it: he's consistently outperforming higher-ranked drivers in the toughest fields on the schedule.
Tim McCreadie quietly had the most productive week of anyone on tour. The $20,000 Selinsgrove win was the headline, but T-Mac also finished 4th at Bedford, 5th at Marion Center, and 7th at Georgetown. Four races, four top-7 finishes, and $28,750 earned in a single week — pushing his season total to $112,450.
Nick Hoffman continues to be everywhere and competitive in everything. Four top-7 finishes across the WoO Eastern swing — including a podium at Bedford and Georgetown — keep Hoffman firmly in the top five nationally. He's finished top-5 in 24 of his 29 starts this season.
Bobby Pierce went 1-for-4 on the swing with a $20,000 Georgetown win, but also finished 5th, 7th, and 10th in the other three. The Smooth Operator's nine wins and $256,850 in season earnings trail only Hudson O'Neal and Jonathan Davenport for the 2026 money title.
Bo Slay was the weekend's busiest winner with three victories across Alabama — Buckshot Speedway's Southern All Stars feature plus two 604 Crate wins. Charlie Sandercock doubled up north of the border with Northeast Late Model Alliance wins at Brighton and Merrittville. Cruz Birkhofer, Eli Ross, Travis Stemler, Luke Morey, and James Giossi also won multiple races.
Brandon Overton had one of his worst results of the season — starting on the pole at Eagle and falling to 16th. Overton's season numbers remain strong (7 wins, $171,729 earned), but he's been running below his typical level over the last month.
Canceled/Postponed: The $50,000 High Bank Heist finale at Eagle Raceway was among 15 events canceled or postponed. The $30,000 Marion Center finale was also postponed to May 27th, setting up an even bigger week for the Outlaws ahead of Wayne County and Mansfield's huge 57 Special.
